(Together)
Two bodies sharing one Soul.
Two hearts beating in unison.
Two lives striving to know, to teach, to learn, to take, and to give.
(Each)
In you I have found my Anamchara.
This I acknowledge before the Divine
that I give you that which I have given you all along - myself.
I am your friend.
I am your teacher and your student.
I am your solace and your comfort.
I am your shield and your rock.
(Together)
By this ritual are we bound to each other as friends of each other’s souls.
We are each other’s Anamchara.
Our flames will shine brighter,
burning hotter and stronger together than they would separately.
We vow by Earth and by air,
by fire and by water,
by Moon and by Sun,
to be the shoulders that share each other burdens,
to be the lamp that lights each other’s path.
(Each)
I will be your shield and your sword,
your book and your circle,
a part of your centre of being, as you are of mine.
(Together)
All of our wisdom, and all of our secrets,
we share as long as this life endures,
and we meet once again incarnated as Anamchara.
(The ritual may then be sealed with a means that is appropriate for the soul friends. Soem possibilities are: the lighting of candles, the sharing of a drink, the exchange of anamchara necklaces or rings, a hug or kiss . . . )
